The purpose of a home inspection is to ensure that you are getting exactly what you’re paying for. A home inspector looks at all the aspects of a home that make it safe, livable, and properly constructed. An inspection is an insurance policy for your investment. Purchasing a home is stressful enough without wondering what you’re really buying.
There are a lot of hidden areas of a home that you can’t see. Even in those areas that you can see, you may miss a crucial clue to a larger problem. That’s where we come in. An inspector uses specialized equipment to perform a non-invasive, but thorough evaluation of the home, property, systems, and how they all work together to make sure that your investment is worth the price tag.
A home cannot fail an inspection. A professional home inspection gives you an independent, unbiased view of any problems and possible solutions so that you will have all the facts you need to make an informed decision. Depending on the size and condition of the home, a thorough home inspection will take usually between two and three hours. Ideally, you will accompany your inspector during the consultation, so that you will have visual reinforcement of your written report.

Once you receive the report, you will have several options. If there are no serious problems with the home or property, you can move forward with the purchase process. If there are serious concerns noted on the report, you have the option to ask the owner for a reduced purchase price to cover the cost or repairs, you can request that the owner do the repairs, or you can remove your offer for purchase.
With a home inspection, you have the information you need to make an educated decision and you will have the confidence in knowing exactly what it is you’re purchasing.
